Pintô Art Museum : In the Filipino language, pinto means door. Let’s open the door to Filipino Contemporary Art. Perched on a mountain in the outskirts of the city, partly hidden in between trees is an entrance to my world. Behind its wooden frame is a big maze of different reflections of beauty, of history, of memory. This is our collective suffering, our joy, our pain, our resilience… our cultural identity… sowed in our dreams by our deity, Bathala, or muse enchanted by the diwata, molded into being by my people’s browned hands, kilned in the historic fire of Oriental and Occidental influence…push open the door and welcome to the Pinto Art Museum.
