We are Gael and Gian, a Franco-Filipino duo. This project has its humble beginnings in France where Gael worked as a graphic artist and photographer (gaelc.fr).

Our project, titled Portrait(s) of Metro Manila, aims to examine how a place can shape and reshape our identities, and how it can give meaning and/or contextualize our personal narratives and struggles.

Hence, we are looking for persons (with interesting professions such as, but not limited to: fighter, dancer, musician, artist, employee, immigrant, etc) residing in Metro Manila who are willing to share their own stories of success, failure, heartbreak, love, passion, vocation, etc…and on how the capital region has been a setting, a character, a tone and a witness of their lives. We would like to film the subject in his/her/their natural environment, whether your house, office, studio, place of work or other.

THE FINAL PROJECT WILL BE PUBLISHED ON YOUTUBE where we could post your social media links promoting your projects in the video.
