Learn French in manila
Choosing a mobile offer in France can be a lot cheaper than in the Philippines, and offers more services, some of which are quite interesting. But the steps can be a little bit more complicated and time-consuming. With some guidance, we assure you that nothing is insurmountable.
First, you need to assess your needs :
– What do you need it for ? Do you want to make calls, or just receive them ?
– Do you want to make calls abroad ?
– Will you mainly use your package for Internet ?
– What’s more important: price or stability ?
These are just some of the questions we’ll try to answer, to help you make the most of this comparison of the leading providers.
To begin with, here are the different services you’ll find in the different offers.
Mobile Internet: Mobile phone operators also offer mobile Internet packages. These packages may have different data packs, SMS, calls abroad, to be used for the duration of a full month.
Additional services: In addition to basic services, many providers offer additional services such as security, 2 phone numbers on the same sim card, loan in case of theft…
Bundles: Providers offer bundles with Iphone or Samsung packs.
In this article, we are going to present each mobile company in France and we are going to answer the same questions so that you can easily compare the services, qualities and shortcomings of each.
What is ORANGE ?
Orange is one of the world’s leading telecommunications and digital services operators. They serve 298 million individual, professional and corporate customers as of December 31, 2023. They are one of the world leaders in telecommunications services for multinational companies, under the Orange Business brand.
What are its strengths ?
Quite simply, it’s the quality of its network. Orange manages the universal telecommunications service, which is responsible for providing everyone with a connection.
What are its weak points ?
Orange’s only weak point is that it charges higher rates than the competition. If your aim is to prioritize quality over rates, this may not be a weak point for you.
What’s the coverage ?

What is FREE ?
Free Mobile is a mobile operator with 3G and 4G licenses, offering the most attractive mobile packages on the French market. The company is a subsidiary of the Iliad Group, a major player in the French Internet access and telecommunications market.
What are its strong points ?
Price! Free is the provider with the best quality/price ratio, and despite the fact that everyone else is raising their prices, Free is trying to keep theirs the same. Since the creation of its first €2 entry-level package in 2012, the price has never gone up, but the content has, and that’s something no one but Free has done!
What are its weak points ?
By experience I can say that the after-sales service sucks. If you have a problem you’ll get incompetent technicians who only read what’s written on their computers. It’s extremely difficult to be able to talk to someone competent.
Network quality is well below that of Orange, especially in 4G, where you will sometimes struggle to get an acceptable throughput, which can be a problem for video content consumers.

What is BOUYGUES ?
Historically, Bouygues telecom was the first telephone operator to create the mobile package.
What are its strong points ?
Price, connection stability and constant speed.
What are its weak points ?
Personally I have had a very bad experience with this after-sales service. The change of my RIB was not taken into account and my direct debit was not made to the right account. My cancellation request due to my move abroad was not taken into account either, even though I was no longer in France…

How do I take out a phone subscription ?
Go directly to a store : You can talk directly to a salesperson. Ask questions and test the phones available in packs, etc. The advantage is that you get your SIM card directly, without having to go through the post.
Subscribing online : You can go directly to the supplier’s website. Fill in the required information and attach the necessary documents. The waiting time will be a little longer, as you’ll have to wait to receive your SIM card by post.
Documents required in both cases :
Things to Know
1. If you want to switch from one telephone provider to another, you can ask to keep the same telephone number. The operator usually takes care of this.
2. As you can see, some subscriptions have a minimum commitment period. If the commitment period is 12 months and you want to break the contract before the end of the 12 months, you’ll have to pay a fee which is usually high. Unless, for example, you’re moving abroad, in which case you’ll be asked to provide a few documents to prove this.
If you wish to cancel your contract, you must send your request by post, preferably by registered letter with acknowledgement of receipt. You are not obliged to give a reason for cancellation. You must pay a cancellation fee. These charges must be mentioned in your contract.
3. So we’ve looked at the main mobile providers. There is also SFR, but it doesn’t appear in this list because the reviews are generally so negative that we’d rather not recommend it, and we’ve personally never tried it.
4. There are many other mobile providers offering a wide range of packages and prices, such as: La Poste Mobile, Lycamobile, NRJ Mobile, RED, Sosh, Cdiscount Mobile, YouPrice, etc.
There’s a lot of competition, so prices are often low. Don’t hesitate to look out from time to time for temporary promotions that are often very attractive.
5. Before taking out or changing a mobile package, don’t forget to check its network coverage. If you take out a 5G package, it would be a shame to find out at the last minute that you can only get 4G and not 5G at that particular area.
6. Some providers, like SFR, often change their prices just by sending an e-mail, which often ends up in SPAM, so you pay more without realizing it and without being able to appeal against the change.
7. Generally, if you have an Internet subscription with a provider, and you want to take out a telephone subscription with them, you’ll pay for your telephone subscription because you’ll be entitled to one subscriber each month.
